LocDrop ("LocDrop", "we", "our", or "us") respects your privacy. This Privacy Policy explains what information we collect, how we use it, when we share it, and the choices you have when using the LocDrop app, website, and related services (collectively, the "Services").

A. Account and profile information
When you create or use an account, we may collect:

- Account type (for example, personal or organizer)
- Profile bio
- Profile photo
B. Content you create and share
When you use LocDrop, we may collect content you submit, including:
- Drop and event titles, descriptions, dates, times, and venues
- Event and profile photos
- Group information
- Reposts, RSVPs, invites, and other participation data
- Reports, feedback, and support requests
- Messages and chat content submitted through event chat or other in-app communication features
C. Location information
LocDrop may use location information to support location-based features, such as:
- Centering the map
- Helping you choose a location for a drop
- Displaying nearby drops or events
We may also store event or drop coordinates that you choose and publish as part of event content.
D. Device and notification information
We may collect:
- Push notification token
- Device/platform information needed to deliver notifications
- App version and limited technical diagnostics
E. Usage and interaction information
We may collect information about how you use the Services, including:
- Views, interactions, and in-app activity
- RSVP and repost activity
- Notification preferences
- Basic operational logs needed to maintain and secure the Services
2. How We Use Information
We use your information to:
- Create and manage your account
- Authenticate users and secure the Services
- Let you create, view, join, manage, and share drops, events, groups, and profiles
- Deliver notifications
- Show your content and activity to other users according to your settings and app functionality
- Provide moderation features such as blocking, reporting, review, and safety enforcement
- Respond to support requests and user reports
- Maintain, debug, improve, and protect the Services
- Measure feature usage and product performance
- Send service-related communications
- Send product updates or announcements if you have opted in where applicable
3. How Information Is Shared
We do not sell your personal information.
We may share information in the following circumstances:
A. With other users
Some information is visible to other users as part of the Services, including:
- Your profile information
- Your drops, events, RSVPs, reposts, and group participation, depending on the feature and privacy model
- Messages or content you choose to post
- Photos and media you upload
B. With service providers
We use service providers to operate the Services, such as providers for:
- Hosting and backend infrastructure
- Authentication and database services
- Push notifications
- Email delivery and communication tools
- Customer support intake forms or support systems
- Third-party GIF search and content delivery services
Service providers may process data on our behalf as needed to provide their services. Third-party integrations may also process information under their own terms and privacy policies, as described below.
To provide GIF search and sharing, LocDrop integrates with KLIPY. When you use this feature, your search terms and requests for GIF content are sent to KLIPY. KLIPY may receive information associated with those requests, such as your IP address, the GIF content you view or select, and technical and usage information. KLIPY handles this information according to its privacy policy.
C. For safety, legal, and enforcement reasons
We may access, preserve, or disclose information if we reasonably believe it is necessary to:
- Enforce our Terms or Community Guidelines
- Investigate abuse, fraud, harassment, threats, or illegal activity
- Protect users, the public, or LocDrop
- Comply with law, regulation, legal process, or government request
D. Business transfers
If LocDrop is involved in a merger, acquisition, restructuring, financing, or sale of assets, information may be transferred as part of that transaction.
4. Blocking, Reporting, and Safety
LocDrop includes tools that allow users to report and block accounts. When you submit a report, we may collect:
- The account being reported
- The reasons selected
- Any comments or additional details you provide
We use this information to review safety issues, enforce our policies, and protect the Services and our users.
5. Data Retention
We retain information for as long as reasonably necessary to:
- Provide the Services
- Maintain security and integrity

- Resolve disputes and enforce our agreements

Depending on your use of the Services, you may be able to:

You may also manage certain device permissions, such as location, photos, calendar, or notifications, through your device settings.

You can request deletion of your account through the app. When your account is deleted, we will delete or de-identify information as required by applicable law, subject to limited retention where necessary for legal, security, fraud-prevention, abuse-prevention, or compliance reasons.
8. Children
LocDrop is not intended for children under 13, and we do not knowingly collect personal information from children under that age. If you believe a child has provided personal information in violation of this policy, contact us through our support page.
9. International Users
If you use LocDrop from outside British Columbia, Canada, you understand that your information may be processed in countries where privacy laws may differ from those in your jurisdiction.
10. Security
We use reasonable administrative, technical, and organizational safeguards to protect information. No method of transmission or storage is completely secure, and we cannot guarantee absolute security.
11. Changes to This Policy
We may update this Privacy Policy from time to time. If we make material changes, we will update the effective date above and may provide additional notice where appropriate.
